Over the past year, The Little Country Preschool has grown into something even more special than we first imagined. What began as a small preschool on our family farm has naturally evolved into a Farm School experience, where learning happens through nature, animals, and real-life moments.
Children here don’t just sit at desks. They gather eggs, help in the garden, care for animals, explore the woods, and learn traditional academics along the way. Letters, numbers, problem solving, and social skills all grow naturally through hands-on experiences and meaningful play.
As we move forward, our program is expanding into a Farm School serving Pre-K and Kindergarten students, with the option for families to continue into the elementary years through our homeschool partnership program. This allows children to keep learning in a small, nurturing environment while parents remain the primary homeschool educators.
Our goal is to keep class sizes small, learning personal, and childhood filled with curiosity, confidence, and a love of the outdoors.
At the heart of it all, we’re still the same husband-and-wife team who built this school on our family farm—just growing right alongside the children who learn here. 🌱🐓

At The Little Country Preschool, we believe childhood is meant to be lived—not rushed. We are a play-based, relationship-centered preschool, not a daycare. Our days are built around exploration, connection, curiosity, and learning that happens naturally through real experiences.

At The Little Country Preschool, we believe childhood is meant to be lived—not rushed. We are a play-based, relationship-centered preschool, not a daycare. Our days are built around exploration, connection, curiosity, and learning that happens naturally through real experiences.
We partner with parents who are looking for more than basic childcare. Families who choose us value small groups, meaningful relationships, and a slower, more intentional approach to early learning. We believe children grow best when they feel safe, loved, and understood—and when adults work together as a team.
Learning here looks like conversation, problem-solving, creativity, outdoor play, and hands-on discovery. We focus on social and emotional growth just as much as early academic skills, because confident, kind children are ready for anything that comes next.
If you’re looking for a loving place where your child is known, valued, and encouraged to grow at their own pace—you’re in the right place. And yes… we are worth the drive.

Mr. Rick wears many hats at the preschool. He is our in-house chef, preparing all meals with care, and he also jumps in wherever he’s needed—whether that’s helping with special projects, farm-related activities, or lending an extra set of hands. His calm, steady presence and willingness to pitch in make him a huge part of our daily rhythm.
This year, we were thrilled to add Mrs. Alli as Mrs. Robin’s co-teacher. Together, they work side by side in the classroom, providing consistent guidance, patience, and encouragement. With three adults present, we are able to maintain a low 3:1 child-to-teacher ratio, allowing each child to receive individual attention, support, and care.
Our teachers aren’t just here to supervise—they build relationships, partner with parents, and create a loving environment where children feel safe, seen, and confident. That personal connection is at the heart of everything we do.

Located on our family farm, The Little Country Preschool offers a warm, welcoming environment that feels more like home than a traditional school setting. Our space is thoughtfully designed to support learning, creativity, and comfort, with room to move, play, explore, and grow.

Located on our family farm, The Little Country Preschool offers a warm, welcoming environment that feels more like home than a traditional school setting. Our space is thoughtfully designed to support learning, creativity, and comfort, with room to move, play, explore, and grow.
Children enjoy access to safe outdoor areas, nature-based learning spaces, and age-appropriate materials that encourage imagination and independence. Our farm setting provides unique opportunities for real-world learning, curiosity, and connection to the natural world—experiences that can’t be replicated in a typical classroom.
We keep our class sizes intentionally small so every child receives the attention and care they deserve. Safety, cleanliness, and comfort are always a top priority, but so is creating a space where children feel relaxed, confident, and excited to be.
At The Little Country Preschool, we believe learning grows naturally. Our mission is to create a safe, engaging, farm-based environment where children learn through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences while growing socially, emotionally, and academically.
